What is the Catholic Charities Community Café Food Truck?

It’s a program of Catholic Charities that focus on bringing meals directly to individuals and families facing hardship in their own communities. The program was created to remove barriers that often prevent people from accessing nutritious food and supportive services. By taking meals directly into neighborhoods, the Food Truck has become a welcoming and reliable resource for many residents.

Since its launch, the program has experienced remarkable growth across the county. Today, the Food Truck on Pottsville (WALTER) serves 12 communities and provides more than 1,000 meals every week to neighbors in need. Beyond food, the initiative creates opportunities for connection, conversation, and support for those facing difficult circumstances.

Now we are proud to expand with a second Food Truck (AL) to support our neighbors in Reading.
