Volunteer Positions

Are you looking for an opportunity to serve in 2021?

You can make a difference, provide HELP and create HOPE!

Volunteers are needed in these areas:

  • Food Pantry – Organize and prepare bags with food donations – weekdays – Allentown and Reading
  • Soup Kitchens – Distribute grab and go meals at noon Mondays and Fridays in Allentown. Serve grab and go dinners in Pottsville weekdays or at lunch on Sundays
  • Ambassadors – Organize drives for food, baby items, toiletries and school supplies – flexible schedule
  • Compassionate Listeners – Spend time on the phone with older adults & veterans on weekdays
  • Development – Assist with many tasks to make fundraisers a success– flexible schedule from your home or at our Allentown office
  • Drivers – Transport older adults & veterans to medical appointments – weekdays
  • Friendly Visitors – Spend time visiting with older adults and veterans
  • Handyperson – Assist older adults & veterans with minor repairs –weekdays or Saturdays
  • Ombudsman – Answer & resolve simple problems older adults experience in the long-term care system. See Ombudsman Volunteer Opportunity section for more information.
