Catholic Charities is Partnering with Catholic Elementary Schools to Engage in Social Emotional Learning
Beginning this academic year, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Allentown, expanded its commitment to children’s well-being through a new partnership with four elementary schools: St. Michael’s, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Holy Family, and St. Ann School in Emmaus. This initiative provides social-emotional learning opportunities for students in kindergarten through fourth grade, helping them develop important skills that support their personal growth, relationships, and success in the classroom.
Through these lessons, students learn how to recognize and manage their emotions, respond to challenging situations, and develop healthy ways to express their feelings. The program also focuses on interpersonal problem-solving, encouraging students to communicate effectively, understanding different perspectives, resolving conflicts peacefully, and building positive relationships with their classmates and teachers.
Catholic Charities is proud to collaborate with these schools to help nurture the emotional and social development of young learners. By providing children with supportive tools to navigate their feelings, interact better with others, and cope with life’s challenging moments, students can grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships, and develop wellness strategies that will benefit them throughout their lives.
