Compassion in Motion: Highlights from July 2026
Vacation Bible Camp Donation Supports Community Café Choice Pantry
Students participating in the Vacation Bible Camp at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bethlehem put their faith into action by collecting and donating food pantry items to support Catholic Charities’ Community Café Choice Pantry in Allentown. Their generous contribution will help neighbors experiencing food insecurity while also providing essential household items that are often in short supply at food pantries, including dish soap, laundry detergent, and toiletries. Through their kindness and compassion, these young volunteers made a meaningful difference, showing that even small acts of generosity can bring hope and dignity to families in need.
Helping Veterans Build a Stronger Tomorrow
Catholic Charities participated in the recent Lehigh Valley Stand Down, an event organized by the VALOR Clinic Foundation to support veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The event provided essential resources such as clothing, food, and connections to community support services. Caring for those who have served our country remains a priority for Catholic Charities, whose team offers compassionate case management and personalized support to help veterans overcome challenges, regain stability, and build a path toward a brighter future.
