Estate Planning Workshop Brings Guidance, Peace of Mind, and Lasting Impact

On May 19, 2026, Catholic Charities, in partnership with the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania, welcomed community members to Saint Francis of Assisi Church Parish in Allentown for a successful and inspiring Estate Planning Workshop. The event offered practical guidance on planning for the future while strengthening their understanding of faith-based stewardship and legacy giving.

The evening featured an informative presentation followed by fellowship where attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, connect with presenters, and discuss personal concerns in a welcoming environment. Participants learned why estate planning is important for everyone, regardless of age or income level, and how creating a thoughtful plan can provide clarity, security, and peace of mind for loved ones.

Attendees also received a free “Personal and Legal Information Organizer,” a valuable tool designed to help families gather and maintain important personal, financial, and legal information in one accessible place. Presenters explained how keeping these records updated can ease burdens during difficult times and help families confidently carry out important wishes and responsibilities.

Another meaningful topic of discussion focused on the importance of communicating legacy wishes with family members. Beth Beers, Attorney at Law and Catholic Charities’ Board Chair, emphasized how open conversations can reduce uncertainty, strengthen family understanding, and ensure that personal values and desires are respected. The workshop also highlighted how endowments can provide lasting support for cherished Catholic causes, allowing individuals and families to create a legacy of faith, compassion, and service that continues for generations.

The Estate Planning Workshop was a true success, offering education, encouragement, and meaningful resources to the community. Through collaboration and shared mission, Catholic Charities and the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania continue to empower individuals to plan wisely, care for their families, and support the future of ministries that bring hope and assistance to those in need.
