Hearts of Hope Gala 2026: An Afternoon of Hearts Giving Hope

It was an event filled with joy, gratitude, and a shared commitment to serving our neighbors in need. At the recent Hearts of Hope Gala, supporters, friends, and partners came together to celebrate what is possible when compassion leads the way.

Because of the generosity in the room, more than $100,000 was raised to support critical programs that provide food, housing assistance, and hope to individuals and families across our Diocese.

But beyond the numbers, it was the stories that truly defined the night.

As one client shared, “Catholic Charities helped us find a place to live. They walked us through things we didn’t understand. They checked in on us. They treated us with respect like we mattered.  That meant more than I can explain.”

The Gala was also an opportunity to honor those who embody the mission of Catholic Charities so beautifully. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Robert Finlan and Dr. Stephen and Mrs. Sabina Olenchock for their faithful support, generosity, and advocacy. Their commitment continues to inspire and strengthen the mission in countless ways.

We also celebrated Clare Bowers, a student at Mercy School for Special Learning, who was named this year’s Jeffrey P. Young Award recipient. Clare’s spirit and example remind us all of the beauty of perseverance and the power of community.

Every dollar raised, every story shared, and every life touched is a reflection of what happens when a community comes together in love and service. Thank you for being part of this incredible event and for continuing to bring hope to those who need it most.
